Club Development

In the past decade Currow GAA embarked on a new phase in the development of club facilities. A Development Committee was formed to push forward the development. The committee decided to phase in the development over several years.

The first phase of the development began with the upgrading of the pitch facilities.

Through Government grants, local sponsorship, and the Club Lotto the project got off the ground and the new pitch was finally completed for the 2005 season.

By 2009 new fencing has being erected around the field with the help of FAS and work has been completed on the Ladies clubhouse and is now open.

In 2011 the new development of the new stand has been completed as well as the redevelopment of the main clubhouse to incorporate a new kitchen.

We look forward to this continuing exciting development of the club. However, more capital is required to continue this development but through the generosity of local businesses, local people and GAA supporters this phase will get off the ground in the near future.

The members of the Development Committee from 2007 are Johnny Brosnan, Thomas Brosnan, Tony Brosnan, Ted Buckley, Neily Mitchell, Paddy O' Connor, Sean O' Connor, Tom O' Connor, Donie O' Shea, Johnny Scanlon, John Somers & James Brosnan
